I offer sessions online via a secure Zoom platform, allowing you to attend from a place that feels comfortable and private. In-person sessions are also available on a limited basis at my practice in south Edinburgh, 61 Mayfield Road, subject to availability.
Each session lasts 50 minutes.
Individual therapy sessions are £60. The initial consultation carries a reduced fee of £45 as an introductory session.
I currently offer sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, between 9.30 am and 7.30 pm. Online sessions are available on both days, with limited in-person availability on Tuesdays.
These are my general working hours. For current availability, please get in touch.
Choose a quiet, private space where you feel at ease — ideally somewhere separate from your usual work environment. It can help to have water and tissues nearby, and a notebook if you'd like to capture any thoughts during our conversation.
I'd also recommend switching your phone to airplane mode so you can be fully present during the session.
Taking the step to begin counselling can feel daunting, and it's completely natural to have questions or uncertainties. My aim is to make this first step as welcoming and straightforward as possible.
In our first session, we'll explore what has brought you to therapy and begin to talk about your hopes and goals. This is a relaxed conversation where you can share as much or as little as feels right. You're welcome to bring any questions you've noted down — we can go through them together.
This initial meeting is also a chance for us to get to know each other. You'll have space to ask about how therapy works, and I'll take time to understand your current challenges. Equally, it's an opportunity for you to get a sense of whether I feel like the right fit. If we both feel it's right to continue, we can discuss what ongoing sessions might look like.
Following the session, there will be some standard paperwork to complete — I'll guide you through it.
Please note that this appointment carries a £45 administration fee only.
I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged at the full session rate.
I understand that unexpected circumstances arise, and I will always do my best to accommodate genuine emergencies.
